  1. Hunt the fox.
    This was another great school game some years ago. It was generally played when the boys were "let out" for lunch. The best runner in the school would be picked out, and he would be the fox. He would then get a whole lot of paper and tear it up in little bits. He would start off then through the fields and he would drop little bits of paper here and there and these would be called "scent." When he would be about ten minutes gone the rest of the boys would take up the chase. They would all be looking everywhere for the scent. They would find bits of paper here and there and then there would be great excitement. When I was going to school the boy who would be acting
