  1. Hurling long ago was played different towards nowadays. The team was made up at twenty-one at a side. They had no goal post but the ball was hurled from one townsland to another. The ball was much heavier than the ball they hurl with nowadays. There were two Referees in each match. Later on it was changed to seventeen men at a side and instead of hurling it from one townland to another they hurled in a field.
