  1. There was a snow storm in nineteen thirty four. Out at the Three Rock mountains, farmers had a lot of sheep lost and killed. A man named Bill Rafferty was snowed up. Local men had to dig him out. He had a small hut in a hollow field. When the men dug the snow from the hut they found him in bed, with the bed up against the big hot fire in the kitchen.
    When the men knocked at the door, Bill wondered who was there when he opened the door he knew what the men had done.
    He said to the men why did they not leave the snow there because he said he was nice and snug.
