  1. Once upon a time there dwelt in Loch Urlar a boar who was supposed to be the devil. One day the boar came in out of the lake. He was dressed in monk's clothes and he asked for lodging. The monks gave him lodging and when they used to go saying their prayers he used to get cross and asked to be let out. He done this for a couple of mornings and on the third morning when he asked to be let out, the monks would not let him. He got very wild and he dashed about? into the lake and squirted water as high as high as they could look. If they were
