    And sit there and write some poetry
    On the stone at the old butter well
    5. The neighbours who came there for water
    Would hurry away with their can
    For if their head-gear was not pleasing
    It was sure to be down in a song.
    6. But now they can come when it pleases
    And sit there to have a long chat
    For he who would gaze on their costumes
    Is gone and will never come back
    7. There's an old Parish Church by the mountain
    Where there was a welcome for him
    And a grave in that yard has in keeping
    Rebard, from the Comeragh Hills.
