  1. The woodpigeon is a blue bird she builds her nest in a tall tree she makes it of mud and straw and lines it with feathers she lays five or six eggs.
The wood pigeon does not sing what she does is cu. There is an old story told of a poor man who went to steal a lamb from a rich man's herd. He was taking away the lamb when he heard a voice calling out of the wood "Take two, do, do. Take two do". It was the wood pigeon calling and the man did as he was bid. The wood pigeon is a fairly big bird, she eats worms, snails, cabbage, and any other vegetable. The woodpigeon has dark blue feet almost black.
Corncrakes stay with us the year. They live in an old wall.
