    against another one raised it up (against) with the forse of the blast it turned the body right over and kept stacks in position. The reminder of the corn was blown across the county and caught in the hedges and ditches. Several houses were blow down and also a great quantity of timber.
    There was a great snow storm five years ago in February 1933 it also did a lot of harm, it stopped buses, trains, trams and every way of travelling for the snow was that high on the road you would go up to your neck in snow drifts. The schools were closed and some villages and mountainous places were out off for weeks. There is a story told of a man in Longford who was out in his motor car and he had to leave it in a drift and start off to look for shelter. He travelled along and suddenly he fell down through a chimney
