  1. My home is in the town land of Kiffa in the Parish of Kildrumferton and the Barony of Castlerahan.
    There are about ten families living in Kiffa. The most common family name in the townland is Smith. The most common type of houses is slated. We do not know how the townland got its name.
    There are two old people living in Kiffa, they do not know Irish but they can tell old stories in English. There names and addresses are Mr. Heaslip, Kiffa, Ballyjamesduff, Co.Cavan and Mr. Mc Clelland, Kiffa.
    The houses were more numerous long ago, there are three houses gone to ruin. Kiffa lies between Duffcastle and Rasson. There is a fort
