    and exclaimed, "Oh! the pain is gone, and instantly the blood stopped.
    Next day they brought the child to the County Hospital in Cavan. The surgeon that time was one (Dr) Dr. Mease and when he saw the cut he asked how did they stop the blood and they told him that an old man, a neighbour performed a cure and stopped the blood, well said the Dr, he did what I could not do, and that is the worst cut I ever saw,"

  2. Our teacher has a cure for jaundice. A plant called speedwell is gathered washed and boiled then strained and a certain quantity of this liquid is taken fasting for three mornings. Miss Dinnen got this cure from an old woman in her native place.
