  1. There is a church near Mrs MacCann's house in Teltown and it is called Teltown Churchyard. In this Churchyard there is a well and in the well there is a "Pound of Butter." The story is that a certain woman living in the locality made a Pound of butter on a Sunday and she took it to this well to wash it. It changed into a stone and fell to the bottom of the well. The stone is still to be seen in the well.
    This story was told to me by Thomas Reilly, Teltown.
