  1. There is a field in Monasterboice called the "Moathies". It is situated along the main Dublin and Dundalk road a about three miles from Drogheda. In it is a lone bush on the top of a hill and around the bush are seats. The field is owned by Mrs Mullen. it is said that the fairies sang and danced around the lone bush and it is said that long ago there were round stones with holes in them found on the top of the hill. people said that fairy rings were to be seen frequently. The bush is growing near the top of the "Moathies" hill with furze bushes and bracken growing around it.
