- In the early days of December, Mummers go around. They get ready when it is dark and put on false faces and dress in old clothes. When they come to a house they all go in one by one and every man has a different rhyme of his own. Then some of them sing and more dance and play music. They get money in nearly every house they go into. They stop going round about two weeks before Christmas.Room room - we are galant boys.
Give us room to rhyme.
We will show you our activity.
Comingon to xmas time.
