    That day three weeks he was dead with fever and noboby ever asked him about the gold.
    About 60 years ago Mrs. Bonfield found in the ditch of the haggard at the end of the dwelling house a lot of coins about the size of a half crown. There of them were pure gold. She gave them to the manage of the National Bank Nenagh and he gave her 21? each fo two and 21 9? for the other. He said the silver coins were no good and she left them to him.
    The Bonfields have several times since knocked out-houses and dug for the treasure in various places but they never found it. They were knocking a wall one day about tweny years ago and Mr. Bonfield fond two gold sovereigns. Sometime after he was ond day standing at the ditch, in the garden, in a sunshower when he saw something gleaming in the garden. He found it
