  1. The Dublin Road leads from Limerick to Dublin via Nenagh. This was the "Old Coach Road" and there were several toll-houses on the road some of them were removed as they were erected at dangerous corners. One at Islandbawn still remains. A number of roads lead off this road to different places and in former day some of these roads were only what are called "Bridle Paths" which you could only travel with a saddled horse.
