    Islands in the Shannon at the mouth of the Fergus. The barony of Kenry occupies the territory betwee Adare and the Shannon in Co. Limerick.
    For 15 years Miodac prospered and grew rich. He avoided all contact with the Fianna, he was determined to avenge his father's death and for this purpose he had secretly conveyed to his palace large bands of soliders from his native country.
    One day the Fianna were hunting in west Limerick and Fionn and his chieftains ascended the hill of Knockfierna to get a view of the hunt here during the day.
