    He began to teach the children Protestant prayers. Father O'Grady P.P. of Adare heard of this. He boycotted the school. He went around and he told the children not to attend the school. The school was then closed.
    The Parish Priest of Stonehall used often have an argument with Parson Waller of Castletown over religious matters.
    Parson Waller had a clerk named John Hanrahan. He told him one day to study the Protestant Bible and to give him facts about it, so that he could argue with the Parish Priest. When
