  1. Plague of Fever in Shandrum Parish about 40 years ago.
    It raged chiefly in Ballyhea and Shandrum parish bordering on Ballyhea. Bad drainage was supposed to be the origin of same. Patients were removed daily to Kilmallock hospital, only convenient hospital then. Horse drawn van only mode of conveyance.
    Amongst those who died of fever were
