  1. Lord Plunketh was the Landlord of the Village of Newtown and the adjoining townland of Kilmagora. He was a very good Landlord and was easy with his Tenants. He never did as other Landlord did. That is to press for the hanging half gale.
    Landlord Plunketh sold his estate to his tenants for a very reasonable purchase price. Now, owing to his goodness, all the property is a free-hold.
