  1. Strange Animals
    There are not many strange animals in this district. Long ago the pattern in Lecarrow a cow with two mouths appeared and all the people ran away with fright.
    A fish with a man's head was seen down in "Doogaire", bog some years ago and it spat at every man it saw.
    A new calved cow had a calf with a pig's head and this calve only lived for two hours.
    Some time ago there was a black pig seen someplace down in Clooncach bog and it is said that this pig was in a clamp of turf and when it came
