  1. Old Graveyards
    In this parish there is but one graveyard Kilteevan.
    It is situated in the townland of Kilteevan and is almost in the centre of the Mapother estate in the parish of Kilteevan, Barony of Ballintubber South, Co. Roscommon.
    This graveyard which is still in use is of a circular shape.
    The remains of an old church are there still and it is said it is hundreds of years old.
    It happens that this graveyard is level even though it is very old.
    There are many ash and elm trees growing in and round the graveyard.
    The churchyard contains one vault in which the Mapother family are interred and it also contains
