  1. The small bird called the robin is very well liked by the Christians as he relieved Our Saviour from his crown of thorns.
    As he was drawing one out some blood fell on his breast and that is the reason every robin has a red breast.
    It is said it is not right to kill a robin. This is referred to by the poet:
    'Robin Redbreast in a cage sets all heaven in a rage'.
    I got this folklore from my mother who got it from her mother.
