  1. My mother told me this story it happened not long ago. A woman lived in Ballanoe and she used get milk from a neighbour.
The woman of the house used give her milk every night she used put it in the corner of the house for her, in order the men of the house would not see it. When she died it is said she was seen coming for the milk at the corner of the house all the time.

  2. This is an old custom of long ago. If anyone was making the butter, they would never allow a neighbour to the well.
One Sunday morning a woman was making butter and she was at it 2 hours and it wasn't making. She was wondering what was up with it. The reason was a neighbour went to the well and left the soap fall.
