  1. There was a poor woman there long ago and one night she went to bed early, as she wanted to go to town in the morning.
The night was very bright and she got up about 12 o'clock she thought it was morning because they has no clock, she got ready and went away to town.
When she was about 4 miles from her house, she saw a woman out before her, she went faster to get up to her, and the woman stopped at a gate and when the woman went by her she said "good night and she got no answer, and she asked her then what was it and the woman at the gate said "it is time for the living to be in bed, and the dead out."
Then she knew that it was not morning, and the next house she saw, she went in and stayed there until it was morning.
