  1. When Marriages are Lucky.
    The old people used to say that May and June were two unlucky months for getting married, and they used to wait for July to get married.
    Another unlucky day in olden times was December 28th or the feast of the holy Innocents. Other beliefs are given about the days of the week in some districts, they still believe this.
    Monday for Wealth,,
    Tuesday for health,
    Wednesday the best day of all.
    Thursday for crossed,
    Friday for losses,
    Saturday no luck at all.
    Long ago when two were getting married, the parish clerk used to stand up and say. "God speed them well," when the marriage ceremony was read; And to his prayer the whole congregation answered. "Amen"
