  1. (continued from previous page)
Its a building of fame that will always re-main
And i vow and declare its an honour to Jack.
In form and shape its entirely great
And was finished I can tell you for truth.
He did not lose sight of perfecting it right
Left a hole for the pipe and a hold for the crook
    (Pat Higgins Cloncoose Ballinamuck)

  2. Now to the Public I will state
    a subject of importance great,
In languages plain exempt of lies,
A buck I mean to advertise.
Though poets are noted for the fiction,
    I will give sincere descriptions
    Of this superior quadruped.
That has of late as much reputed
By good authority I am told.
He is, three years and six months old
And for to thrive he always did
Since he was but a little kid
He's sturdy, sandy, tight and strong
Besides he's stately, tall and long.
    Immautre prime he does appear
And full as nimble as a deer
    His horns now to represent
Are like the wattles of a tent
