  1. Poets.
There were not many poets in this district long ago. My grand-father told me of one Poet who lived in Menlough and his name was T.J. Kelly.
He was born in Mount Bellew and his father was the biggest merchant there. He was married there also and after a while he bought a "business house" in Menlough. He lived in Menlough for about 25 years and he was a very good scholar.
One of the songs he composed was "The Tyrant Landlord". This song is not sung now-a-days.
