    There is a fort in Bill Connor's land and it is nearly cleared away now.

    There is a fort in Bill Connor's land and it is nearly cleared away now. About fifty years ago there was a dummy going from house. In one house he saw a child playing with slates and he took one of the slates and got mail and began to write on the slate and this is what he wrote. There is money hidden in the fort and if any one went looking for it they should go on a Saturday night and before digging they should get holly branches and stick them around in a ring and tie flax thread from branch to branch and shake forge
