    The Rakish Paudeen Ruadh
    I
After breakfast one fine day I left my father's cabin snug
Being crossed in love I bade goodbye with a parting kiss from all
Then I travelled many a weary mile
per high road, low road, plain and till I turned by back completely to the bounty Donegal
    II
I stuck a budget on my back and as a tinker I did go
Resolved to banish grief and see the country to and fro
"Harru" said I ' for elements
To the devil I pitch care and woe
And thus began the rabbles of the Rakish Paudeen Rua.
    III
I went to Derry and played ball in front of Mr. Walker's Wall
In Eniskillen I was roused by glorious memories
Where I had to form the Whigs against the French for hunger's cause
