    that there was no such implement in the house and she suspected that some treachery was on foot against the Gobán ad her husband and that this was what the message meant. She told the king's son that the implement was at the bottom of a big chest which was in the kitchen. She told him to reach down his hand while she held up the lid and when the prince stooped into the chest she shoved him in headfirst and closed the lid on him. She then sent a message to the king telling him that she would keep his son as a hostage until the Gobán and her husband returned home safely.
