  1. Once upon a time an Englishman and an Italian were in training for the British army, when one day they were summoned before their superior officer.
    The Englishman went in first while the Italian waited outside. When he went in his officer asked him the following questions.
    "What is your age"?
    "Twenty two years" replied the Englishman.
    " How long are you in training"?
    "Six months, sir"
    "Are your father and mother alive"?
    "Both, sir" answered the Englishman.
    The Englishman then retired and outside found his comrade awaiting him.
    He then commenced to teach
