    Ireland into two parts in the reign of Conn of the 100 Battles. This king being unable to overcome his enemy Mogha, divided Ireland into two parts taking rhe southern portion himself and giving the northern part to Mogha.
    These hills wre the dividing line.

    Cnocán na Cúirte : the hill of the court. Here a number of people met to settle a dispute about the mearing between the properties of Beech-hill and Cloorcah.
