  1. An Old Story
    Once there lived a man
    in Ireland who was called the Gobán Saor.
    He was a mason by trade and very skilful at his work. He was always hoping for a son and had threatened his wife that he would kill her of the child they were expecting should be a daughter.
    Unfortunately this was what happened and the wife, fearing the Gobáns anger, sent her servant to exchange babies with a neighbouring woman to whom a boy had been born about this time.
