    quarry in Thomas Melody's land in Cartson, and there a teacher named Manniry taught. He also taught in another schoool in Dernamanagh.
    The teachers fearing discovery if they remained too long in any of their haunts, used to go from place to place never remaining more than a week in any one place - hence the number of hedge-schools.
