    When the fairies wanted to get food they would go into the fields and take some corn and potatoes and when they wanted milk they would go to the cow and milk her. The fairies were heard changing but they were not seen.
    When people were churning long ago and if the butter was slow in coming they would say that the fairies had taken it. When the fairies are passing through the meadow some of the hay would go up in the air and the old people would say "Beannacht leat
