Farewell to call winter, Summer come at last,

    I
    Farewell to call winter,
    Summer come at last,
    Nothing have I gained,
But my true-love I have lost,
I will sing and I will be happy
Like the birds upon the tree,
    For since he decieved me,
I will care no more for him
    II
Let him go, let him tarry,
Let him sink or let him swim,
He does not care for me,
Nor I do not care for him,
He can go and get another,
That I hope he will enjoy,
For I am going to marry,
    A far off nicer boy.
