There is however one pleasing feature of the decay of this great house. The place will not be denuded of its timber. Under the able management of the capable and energetic Forestry Dept. Inspector, Mr O'Beirne of Gort, large tracts in Coole have recently been planted. The house itself is alas the property of the Forestry Department.
