- (continued from previous page)was done to the thatched roofs of dwelling houses. When the people began to move about the following morning they saw with sorrow and loss the terrible havoc and destruction caused by the storm the night before.
- In the year 1924 there was a great storm which did much harm locally. It knocked hay and corn, and swept the roofs off houses. It also knocked trees across the Snnis-Galway road at Coole so that no Traffic could pass, and the Buses had to travel by the Ballyaneen road.
