come, and they shook a tree and knocked all the apples off it. They sat down back to back and started eating. John got an apple and hit one of the giants on the forehead. The giant thought it was the other giant that hit him and he said, “Stop that, or I will cut your head off.” John pelted another one and hit the same giant again. “That is enough now,” said the angry giant, You are going to die.” So they pulled two trees from the roots and started beating each other till they were both killed. John went home and told the man that he killed them. “What do you want?” he asked. I want a thousand pounds” said John. “All right” said the man, “I will give it to you” And he kept his word.
