    The wealthy people used to make their bread long ago with wheaten flour while the poor people made their own with oaten meal.
    they used to make "boxty" and potato cake also. It is very few who make "boxty" or potato cake nowadays.
    The people used to have a board Long ago for baking bread called a maide ráin. They used to make griddle bread also.
