    in the evening. People used to work for hours in the morning before they would get their breakfast.
    Breakfast consisted of oatmeal bread, milk, and potatoes for dinner, and they used also eat "cáca phota". This was an oatmeal cake boiled in porridge. They used also eat "flummery". This was made with either milk or water.
    I heard of a man who never used to eat at a table; he used always eat off the hob. In the morning he used to have roast potatoes and butter for his breakfast. Meat was principally eaten on feast days. It was nearly all American bacon that was used long ago, and now there is no American bacon to
