- In olden times the people had'nt food like we have now. They had'nt any white flour bread. The bread that they had that time was made out of oat-meal baked very hard on a griddle. They had this every morning for breakfast. They had no tea or sugar. For dinner they used to have potatoes and milk and for the supper they used to have porridge. All the old people were a lot healthier than this present generation.
