  1. Long ago there was a very rich Connact lady who wished to build a castle at a place called Fairy Hill outside Dunmore, but, her father did not like her to build there. One day she began to built it but when she came out in the morning to look at it, it had disappeared.
    She began again but the same thing happened and the next day the same thing happened. As the lady was out driving one day she saw the castle built in the place her father wished. She lived in it and nearly all her descendents lived in it after her, but, when the Normans came they distroyed it.
    It is supposed that in the ruins of the castle there is a stone that all the men
