    September 22nd; 1938.
    There are thinkers who travel around this country from the beginning till the end of the year. Those people do not call themselves tinkers. They say that they are "Travelling Merchants".
    They have often told how they live when they return to spend Christmas and New year at the foot of the Dublin Hills.
    They wander here and there from house to house selling tin-cans and mending things for people with
