  1. One home-made toy is a cliavawn used for catching birds in winter. Two make the cliavawn elder sticks are required. Cut four pieces about fifteen inches long, place them in the shape of a square, tie each corner with a double cord, bring the four cords to a point about a foot high and start to build from the bottom, placing the sticks through the cords. Every lair gets shorter until you reach the top. Then twist the cords with a small stick to tighten
