    that makes the candles without much trouble. People used to make candles with russhes which were got in the bogs. They used to gather them, tie them in bundles and leave them to dry. Then they would peel the skin off them and dip them in fat-oil and afterwards leave them to dry and harden. After that they put them between two little pieces of wood made to hold them. A person had to remove the candle when it burned to the stick.
