    on mountains-sides. Five pounds were offered for either a priest's head, a teacher's head or a wolf's head. Our priests were taught in hedge-schools also. One or two of the older boys would be set on the top of a high, high hill as guard, to watch the soldiers coming. Sometimes when they wanted days off the would roar "here they are".
