  1. In the year 1930, the top of the Hotel went on fire. It happened in the morning that a girl let a match fall on the floor and did not know and she went out into another room. As she was coming out she smelled something burning and looked around and saw smoke coming from the door and she found the room on fire and called some of the workmen. They rang up for the Fire - Brigade and it soon put out the fire. There
