    Long ago there lived in Skerries a very wicked man. This man led a terrible life and when he died his soul would not rest in the grave. Every night he would come to the house where he used to live and torment the people of that house. The people asked the Parish Priest to pray so that he might rest in peace. He prayer day and night and after a fort-night the man's soul did not return. Shortly after the priest got sick and died. He had worn himself out praying for the man's soul to rest in peace.
