When lightening comes some people make a cross out of turf.

When lightning comes some people make a cross out of turf. They get two long turf and put one of them across the other in the shape of a cross. Then they put some holywater on the cross. Then they leave the cross on the window-sill. This cross is supposed to keep away the lightning from the house.
