There is a place up in the Gransha hills known as the Giants' Den.

There is a place up in the Gransha hills known as the Giant's Den. It is said that a giant was being chased by his enemies when the Fomorians were in Ireland long ago. He was caught and put to death. His body was buried in the place now known as the Giant's Den. Dr Hynes, who used to live in Buncrana but is now dead was doing some excavations at this spot when he discovered a skeleton which seemed to be that of a man over seven feet in length. There are four large stones there placed in such a way as to form a kind of a cave. It is said that if you stand in this cave you will never be able to get out but this is not true as many people have stood in it. It is also said that Patrick Doherty of Gransha found the body of a child in the same place along with some money.
